Mr. Mickadeit’s practice focuses on representing homeowners associations, both in their internal affairs matters and in litigation.  In his career, his primary practice areas have been:

  • Business litigation, including breach of contract, fraud, conversion, interference with business relationships, breach of fiduciary duty, and shareholder rights.
  • Real property rights, including trespass and nuisance.
  • Transactional matters such as entity formation and the sale of businesses.


Mr. Mickadeit received his law degree in 2013 from Chapman University School of Law, where he was a member of the Honors Mock Trial Team and an academic fellow in criminal law.  He also earned the special emphasis designation in Environmental, Land Use, and Real Estate Law.  He clerked at Keller Rackauckas LLP (now Keller/Anderle LLP) in Irvine, California.  Before joining Hickey & Associates, P.C., he was an attorney at Borchard & Callahan, APC in Mission Viejo, California, and at Greenberg Gross LLP in Costa Mesa, California.  Before becoming a lawyer, he was a journalist at several newspapers, including The Orange County Register, where he was a news columnist, editor, and reporter.
